I like horror and I’m sure a lot of people around the world do too. I’d attribute my affection for the genre to a mom who loves 80s movies. Horror is made to unrest, disgust, disturb, and scare us.

Although these picks are technically slashers, we’re still counting them under the horror umbrella. Our picks are Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Halloween.

There were 41 people questioned for this poll, 15 were women and 26 were men. Friday the 13th received 26.83% of the votes with 6 men and 5 women. A Nightmare on Elm Street received 29.27% of the votes with 10 men and 2 women. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre received 12.20% of the votes with 2 men and 3 women. Halloween received 31.71% of the votes with 8 men and 5 women.

This was hard for a lot of the people I asked because these were just some pretty iconic franchises. I preference is between Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street, though I have a love/hate with both.
