The first thing I need after reading a book, playing a game, or watching a movie is a pen and paper so I can write down my thoughts (which I probably should do while I’m doing it) to determine if the experience was good, bad, or alright.

For all my reviews on the website, we utilize a five to one ranking system. This system I feel is fair and encompasses all of the different aspects of the product without a fully bias opinion. That being said, let’s get on to the ranking system.

Note: though these might not be accurate to the review they are of the quality in which they are posted.

1-Star Ranking – Total Garbage: This is reserved for projects that are the worst of the worst. They lack character, passion, talent, quality, and above all entertainment. Products of this variety deserve to be mocked and shamed into the deepest darkest depths of oblivion never to be seen or heard from again. Note: low budget doesn’t automatically translate into a 1-Star nor does bad.

2-Star Ranking – Could’ve Been Better: This is for those products that tend to have great concepts that just don’t quite hit the mark. They’re entertaining enough and there’s some quality but perhaps its bad writing decisions here and there, or maybe bad CGI was implemented when practical would’ve worked better. This is where more money, a better writer, a better actor, or better direction could’ve made a superior product.

3-Star Ranking – Solid Entertainment: A project doesn’t have to be the best to be good. As long as the engagement and entertainment is there, along with a decent amount of quality and direction, it’s good. These are the type of projects you experience once and every blue moon you go back to experience again.

4-Star Ranking – Top 10 Worthy: This ranking is for those who are good enough to be remembered. Whenever there’s a top to list of the best, these are reserved for.
