The Wicked Witch of the West is the principal villain of the 1900’s children novel The Wizard of Oz. Created by the author and creator L. Frank Baum, she’s the malevolent ruler of the Winkie Country of Oz. She’s one of four witches claiming rulership in Oz, one for each Cardinal Direction (the Good Witch of the North, the Good Witch of the South, the Wicked Witch of the East, and the Wicked Witch of the West).
