Sony Confirms Horizon: Zero Dawn in Development by Netflix

Due to Sony’s expansions into the entertainment field, they’ve decided to tackle some really big projects. As of now, they’ve committed to having three of the IPs adapted into tv shows. Those series are Gran Turismo, God of War, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Horizon: Zero Dawn will be heading to Netflix.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is a 2017 action role-playing game that was developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony. The game follows a young huntress named Aloy, who sets out to uncover her part in a world overrun by machines after an extinction event. A sequel was released earlier this year called Horizon: Forbidden West.

Sony has been expanding its reach into the film and television space. They’ve recently released the Morbius and Uncharted film with a Kraven the Hunter and Madame Webb film in the works. They’ve also started working on a Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us series.

The series has many different directions that the series can go. Will the story follow Aloy’s adventures, will it be a retelling, will it follow other characters? Will it act as a prequel or continuation? There has not been any news on who they’ve cast or are casting.
