Top 10 Continuous Trap Cards

Continuous trap cards are cards that remain on the field after their activation. Trap cards are typically activated during an opponent’s turn to counteract their summons, attacks, or activations. They might not be the most powerful or strategic, but they are some of my favorites.

1) Solemn Wishes

Increase your Life Points by 500 points each time you Draw a card (or cards).

2) Robbin’ Goblin
Each time a monster you control inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, your opponent discards 1 random card.

3) Rivalry of Warlords

Each player can only control 1 Type of monster. Send all other face-up monsters they control to the GY.

4) Curse of Darkness

Each time a Spell Card is activated, immediately after it resolves, the player that activated it takes 1000 damage.

5) Scrubbed Raid

During the Battle Phase, you can send 1 card you control to the Graveyard, except this card, to end the Battle Phase.

6) Ordeal of a Traveler

When an opponent’s monster declares an attack: Your opponent chooses 1 random card in your hand and calls the type of the card (Monster, Spell, or Trap), and if they call it wrong, return the attacking monster to the hand.

7) Call of the Haunted

Activate this card by targeting 1 monster in your GY; Special Summon that target in Attack Position. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

8) Spellbinding Circle

Activate this card by targeting 1 monster your opponent controls; it cannot attack or change its battle position. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

9) Shadow Spell

Activate this card by targeting 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; it loses 700 ATK, also it cannot attack or change its battle position. When it leaves the field, destroy this card.

10) Coffin Seller

Each time a monster(s) is sent to your opponent’s Graveyard: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent.
