Amanda Seyfried is an American actress, singer and model, who first started her acting career as Lucinda “Lucy” Montgomery in the soap opera As the World Turns which ran from 1999 to 2001. She made her film debut in 2004’s Mean Girls. Some of her most prominent projects are Chloe (2009), Les Miserables (2012), Mamma Mia! (2008), Big Love (2006-2011), and Veronica Mars (2004-2006). Seyfried’s range of acting is pretty diverse allowing her to delve into comedy, drama, romance, horror, and even animated.
Cammy – Street Fighter
Cammy is a former assassin and accomplice of M. Bison and the Shadaloo organization. Debuting in Street Fighter Alpha II Gold, Cammy was sent to kill Dhaslim, who aided her in gaining her independence from Shadaloo’s brainwashing influence. Afterwards, it’s revealed that Cammy is a participant in a cloning program under Shadaloo and after confronting her Bison loses her memories. She then joins Guile and Chun-Li to stop Bison and Shadaloo.
Seyfried can easily portray Cammy. Not only does she have the skill to pull off a tough, edgy fighter she actually looks like the character. No accessories needed. All she needs is to gain a little muscle and work on some aerobics and she’s in there. The last actress to play a live-action Cammy was Kylie Minogue and honestly it wasn’t good (but the movie itself was trash).
Moiraine Damodred – The Wheel of Time
Moiraine is an Aes Sedai and one of the leading factors in the war against the Dark One and his many followers. Her actions single-handedly have started the events of the story. She goes to the Two Rivers to find the prophesized Dragon Reborn. Moiraine made her debut in 1990 in The Eye of the World, the first book of The Wheel of Time series.
Confident, assertive, knowledgeable, and graceful. These are the words that describe Morraine, an Aes Sedai working to stop the efforts of the Dark One and all who threaten the Dragon Reborn and the world. Seyfried is capable of grace and she can definitely exude confidence. It’s her range of acting that can give the character life and I can practically see her in those dresses of elaborate design and sophistication. It’s her performance in Chloe that proves that she can play a seductive manipulative character.
Black Canary – DC Comics
Dinah Lance is a songstress, street fighter, and superhero who’s worked with prominent superhero teams such as the Justice Society of America and the Birds of Prey. A proficient martial artist, Dinah can turn her voice into a supersonic blast called the “Canary Cry”. There are two superheroines that dawn the title: Dinah Drake and her daughter Dinah Laurel Lance, the original created by Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino debuting in Flash Comics #86 in 1947.
Playing Black Canary is something not many actresses have the ability to do but I think Seyfried has the chops. Again, she looks like I would envision Black Canary to look. Playing the character won’t be easy as Seyfried would have to tone up and get in shape. Comic book movies are in and I think it’d be a good opportunity for her to expand her portfolio. Black Canary has been played by several actresses including Rachel Skarsten (Birds of Prey), Alaina Huffman (Smallville), Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy (both in the Arrowverse), and Jurnee Smollett (DC Extended Universe).
Anya Stroud – Gears of War
Anya Stroud is an officer of the Coalition of Ordered Government Army serving as a communications officer and later on a controller in the CIC. She then becomes the First Minister of the reestablished Coalition of Ordered Governments after the events of Gears of War 3. Anya makes her first appearance in Gears of War aiding the main characters from the Combat Information Center in Wrightman base.
Gears of War has had its share of strong heroines but few are as prominent as Anya. Without Anya’s assistance and support Delta squad would’ve long since been killed off. So Seyfried stepping into such in important role would be a challenge however we at NarikChase believe she has the potential to kick ass. And with talks of the franchise getting a movie we’re just throwing out our nominee. We still think Dave Bautista would play a good Marcus Fenix and we can see Seyfried fighting along side him.
