The Outer Worlds E3 2019

Microsoft’s 2019 E3 dropped some solid titles (both new and ongoing) beginning with this promising new game The Outer Worlds. The First-Person RPG is being developed on by Obsidian Entertainment, the company behind such great RPGs such as Fallout: New Vegas, Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic 2, and South Park: The Stick of Truth.

The Outer Worlds trailer revealed a brand new universe where corporations run entire solar systems. Players will find themselves fighting against one of these megacorporations with the players choices affecting the outcome of the story.

Visually the game has the appearance of a cross between Fallout and Borderlands (which isn’t bad) with players taking on both human enemies and monsters. The game will focus on the RPG elements such as balancing stats, managing companions, choosing dialogue, character customization, and so much more.

The cinematics just bring the game to life, offering a strange new universe with diverse lifeforms, unique science fiction elements, and interesting characters. The first person shooter mechanics look great and some of the weapons look really interesting. The graphics look really good with a good bit of detail to the characters models and level design.

The game is going to be released on October 25, 2019 and will be released on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game is also published by Private Division with some other talent behind the Fallout franchise including Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky–both of which worked on the original Fallout released in 1997.
