Gears of War follows a group of soldiers called Gears in the fight for humanity’s survival against an underground enemy called the Locuse Horde on the fictional planet of Sera.

 1. Marcus Fenix

A war hero who turned into a prison inmate for a rash decision, he is now humanity’s last hope against the Locust Horde and the leader of Delta Squad.

2. Queen Myrrah

Myrrah is the leader of the Locust Horde.

3. Augustus Cole

Also known as the Cole Train, and a member of Delta Squad.

4. Michael Barrick

Part of Zeta Squad and a former Stranded, Michael Barrick joined the COG during Operation Lifeboat.

5. Samantha Byrne

A member of Delta Squad in Gears of War 3, and Baird’s future wife.

6. Kait Diaz

Kait Diaz, often called Kaitie by her mother, was an Outsider in the post-Locust War era.

7. Skorge

The leader of the Kantus Monks and a Locust general.

8. General RAAM

General RAAM is the main antagonist of Gears of War, and one of the high ranking generals leading the Locust Horde against humanity.

9. Damon Baird

Assigned to Delta Squad, Baird is a wise cracking, sarcastic soldier who is the team’s mechanic and engineer.

10. Benjamin, Anthony, and Clayton Carmine

The Carmine brothers are probably the most underutilized (and unfortunately most jinxed) characters in Gears of War.  Each game features one these brothers dying (except Clayton).
