Top 10 Nintendo 64 Games

Hands down one of the best consoles to ever hit the market. The N64 has some of the best bangers and most memorable video games that helped to revolutionize the market. There are dozens of really good games but in this post, we’re listing the top 10.

(1) GoldenEye 007 (1997)

If the campaign didn’t suck you in, it was definitely the multiplayer. GoldenEye 007 might not be the visual spectacle it once was but it is proof that online multiplayer isn’t everything.

(2) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998)

Ocarina of Time without a doubt is the one game that put the 3D gaming trend on the map.  Link embarks on an adventure to stop the evil Ganondorf from taking over the land of Hyrule. To accomplish this, Link must jump across time doing battle with the forces of evil.

(3) Super Mario 64 (1996)

Mario has had plenty of hit games over the years, but what revolutionized the entire series was Super Mario 64, Mario’s transition into the realm of 3D. Everything from exploration to the boss fights felt like a perfect representation of its 2D counterparts.

When we’re talking about revolutionary video games Mario Kart 64 is a must have.  Like GoldenEye 007, this game establishes how awesome local multiplayer is.

(5) Super Smash Bros. (1999)

The one game that brings the best of Nintendo together into one helluva party.  No game is as epic, as competitive, as awesome as Super Smash Bros.  Having Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong, and Link hash it out in a grand battle skill.

(6) Buck Bumble (1998)

Players take on the role of a bumblebee with a blaster and an attitude. Large, massive environments with plenty of bad guys to go around, plus its unique flying mechanic make this game a solid classic. Not to mention the awesome intro.

For its day, Star Fox 64 brought something new to the gaming world, a game focused around aircraft combat.  And boy is this game incredibly fun.

(8) Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (1997)

What makes this fame so memorable is how challenging and fun the gameplay is. Before Halo and Call of Duty, Turok gave players a first-person experience where they faced cool bad guys, ancient monsters, and dinosaurs. Who says old school isn’t Badass.

(9) The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (2000)

Sequel to Ocarina of Time, Link finds himself in the mystical of world of Termina who’s doomed to be destroyed in three days by its falling moon. If it isn’t the ability to manipulate time or being able to change into other species that’ll snag you, then the various masks and their powers will.

(10) Resident Evil 2 (1998)

Rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield must escape Raccoon City after its citizens are transformed into zombies by a biological weapon.
