I’m a fan of science fiction and some of my favorite franchises are from the sci fi genre. Being able to travel to other planets, meet different alien species, experience technology far more advance than our current day is something that’s highly appealing.

I decided to get a few opinions about the put out another voting poll. This time around, I got 36 people to give their opinions. This time around the group voted on whether Halo, Star Trek, Star Wars, or Doctor Who is the greatest sci fi franchise of all time.

This time around we’ve talked to 24 men and 12 women. Halo received 8.33% of the votes with 3 men and no women. Star Trek received 33.33% of the votes with 8 men and 4 women. Star Wars received 47.23% of the votes with 11 men and 6 women. Doctor Who received 11.12% of the votes with 2 men and 2 women.

This was pretty interesting, and it was cool seeing how interested people were. I wasn’t surprised about Halo (first released in 2001) coming in last as it is relatively young when compared to Star Trek (first released in 1966), Star Wars (first released in 1977), or Doctor Who (first released in 1963). Personally, my favorite is Doctor Who with Star Wars and Halo close seconds.
