CoastCon 2022 was awesome and although we only had one day, we had a really good time. We met a lot of really cool people, enjoyed a really cool experience, and spent a lot of money on books and comics. Of course, with all the great material we’ve received you guys will be able to see our impressions on the website and on YouTube. Also, for those authors and creators we met we’re planning on scheduling interviews with them so stay tuned for those.
What did you see?
CoastCon had a lot to offer not only in terms of entertainment for fans and buyers but also a great opportunity for entertainers, content creators, and businesses to interact and network. There were a lot of vendors who were authors promoting their many works including their books and comics. There were vendors who made their own clothes and jewelry. There were others who sold anime and game figurines as well as dolls and plushies. Of course, there’s the weapons display featuring many original weapons as well as some in popular culture such as the iconic Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda. For those who love board games, not only were they selling them but they offer tables for people to play. And the thing about it is, there’s so much more.
Meet any cool people?
Yeah, we met plenty of great people, most of which are other authors. Had a great conversation with Julie Wetzel, author of the Dragons series and The Ancient Fire series, Bobby Nash, author of Domino Lady, Snow series, and the Wraith, and John Holland, writer of Ava: Speaker of the Dead, The Lizards, and A Girl and Her Dog comics. We also met up with members of The Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club, which is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by fans of the franchise.
Any plans for CoastCon 2023?
Yes, we’re practically falling out of our seats ready to put out our content to the world. As you well know we do music, some of which we’ve published on the website and many more to come. We’re also going to use CoastCon to help promote my upcoming book as well as a few other projects we have in the works. So hopefully, if all goes well, we’ll be able to see you guys on the other side.
