There are a lot of shitty movies out there and I unfortunately had the chance to watch more than a few of them. Some are bad because of the writing, some because of the acting, but there are a lot that have a crap ton of problems. But this list only includes bad movies that I hate and not bad movies that I like.
(1) Clown of the Dead
Three friends uncover the evil spirit of a circus clown after the deaths of local children and must send it back to hell before more children are murdered.
Killer clowns are always a good premise but unfortunately Clown of the Dead is dead upon arrival. The movie lacks any kind of direction and the writing’s poor, so you spend the entire movie watching a slow and uninteresting story, characters that suck, and the dubbing is just a nightmare.

(2) Mortdecai
A debonair art dealer and part-time rogue named Charlie Mortdecai must recover a stolen painting rumored to contain a code that leads to lost gold while dealing with angry Russians, an international terrorist, and the British MI5.
Despite the fantastic cast, Mortdecai is a big budget on a bumbling plot. The film relies too much on oddball humor, eccentricity, and Johnny Depp’s weird performance. Yes, the movie’s stupid but if it took itself a little more seriously it would’ve been decent.

(3) Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead
A young karate student Megumi accompanies four older friends on a trip into the woods but encounter zombies in the area infected by parasitic worms.
Asian humor isn’t good (at least not to me) and their films tend to go in some of the weirdest directions. Zombie Ass is no exception. Everything about this movie is wrong. From the dumb story, to the poorly written characters, to the shitty special effects, to the dumb writing and even the soft core school girl fetish the film focuses on. It feels like a really bad anime-based movie or a really bad acid trip.

(4) The Mummy
An ancient Egyptian princess is awakened from her crypt beneath the desert, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia, and it’s up to a US soldier and an archaeologist to stop her.
This film has so much potential and so much pressure considering it was suppose to kick off the Universal Monster Cinematic Universe. There are two main problems with the movie the first being poor writing and direction and the other it being a Tom Cruise movie (which relies too much action and too much on Tom Cruise). However, at least Sofia Boutella was good.

(5) Batman & Robin
Batman and Robin try to keep their relationship together even as they must stop Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy from freezing Gotham City.
There’s little mystery as to why this is known as one of the worst comic book movies. The story doesn’t make sense, the writing is awful, and the dialogue is piss poor. Every line is a pun or a one-liner. This is probably one of Uma Thurman’s most forced performance as Poison Ivy. Was really disappointed with the approach to the character.

(6) Warcraft
As an Orc horde invades the planet Azeroth using a magic portal, a few human heroes and dissenting Orcs must attempt to stop the true evil behind this war.
I don’t know anything about the Warcraft mythology as I’ve not played any of the games. But I can see what the movie was going for. And yes, it didn’t quite make it. One of the biggest problems is that this movie’s predictable. Painfully predictable. Another problem is the over abundance of CGI. Way too much CGI hurt this film. But sometimes that’s the problem with trying to stay 100% true to the game. It’s also pretty forgettable.

(7) Death Note
A high school student named Light Turner discovers a mysterious notebook that has the power to kill anyone whose name is written within its pages, and launches a secret crusade to rid the world of criminals.
This is what happens when you adapt an anime with little to no regard for the source material. Not only was it poorly cast but the dark overarching tone of the series isn’t even in it. Light (which is already a stupid name) is a pathetic character with no personality or depth.

(8) The Last Airbender
The story follows a young successor to a long line of Avatars named Aang, who must master all four elements and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water Tribes and the Earth Kingdom.
Poorly cast, poorly written, poorly direction; I could go on for a while talking about how poorly done this movie is but I’ll save my breath. Instead, I’ll talk about how disappointing this movie is for movie adaptations of cartoons.

(9) Fifty Shades Darker
The film follows Christian Grey who’s wrestling with his inner demons while Anastasia Steele must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her.
The first movie was painful to watch but the sequel takes it to the next level. But it isn’t the story that trashes the film. It’s actually the subplots that happen. The movie has three subplots that could’ve made this a deeper movie without relying on nudity and sex so much, but it just completely glosses over them. The outcome doesn’t really affect the story and they just feel pointless.

(10) Street Fighter
The film focuses on the efforts of Colonel Guile (Jean-Claude Van Damme) to bring down General M. Bison (Raul Julia), the military dictator and drug kingpin of Shadaloo City with aspirations of world domination using an army of genetic supersoldiers.
There are a lot of bad movies based on video games and Street Fighter is at the top of the list. It’s actually got a good cast but of course they’re miscast and the film doesn’t take itself serious enough. The costume designs are comical, fights are lazy, dialogue is pretty ass; yeah, this movie completely sucks.
