Pokemon Silver debuted on the GameBoy Color in 1999 along with its sister title Pokmon Gold. Players control the protagonist as they explore the fictional region of Johto in a quest to master Pokemon battling while completing the Pokedex, an in-game encyclopedia, by obtaining the 251 available Pokémon.
