Leprechaun 4: In Space is a 1997 horror comedy/fiction fiction film directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith, starring Warwick Davis, Brent Jasmer, Jessica Collins, Rebekah Carlton, and Miguel A. Nunez Jr.  It is the fourth installment in the Leprechaun horror film series following a group of space marines who are sent to find and exterminate him.

Plot:  The story is just a mess.  The leprechaun is being hunted by space marines.  There is no references to the previous films.  It also doesn’t really make sense.  There’s nothing compelling, interesting, or remotely entertaining about the story. (1 out of 5)

Characters:  Literally some of the worst characters ever.  Most of the marines are forgettable with little to no depth.  Tina Reeves is a walking talking troupe.  She offers nothing really to the plot other than be a hot babe (which she does wonderfully) and a love interest for Books (Jasmer) Princess Zarina (Carlton)? There is nothing likable about her character nor does she remotely add anything to the plot.  Dr. Mittenhand (Siner) literally the most unlikable, most over-the-top, most mentally handicapped character in the entire film.  Who the f*** is this guy? All in all, a shitty list of characters.  (1 out of 5)

Cast:  Decent cast.  Davis is decent as the malicious leprechaun.  Guy Siner should never get another role as an actor ever again.  The cast also includes Tim Colceri, Miguel A. Nunez Jr., Debbe Duning, Gary Grossman, Rick Peters, Rebekah Carlton, and Guy Siner.

Visuals: Sitting here watching the film is painful.  The practical effects look like shit.  Dr. Mittenhand’s cyborg design looks like trash. The marine’s uniforms look like crap, like these idiots are going to play laser tag with cheap Styrofoam vest.  The CGI looks like…oh my god…like they ripped it from first generation gaming of a PlayStation. (1 out of 5)

Score: The music is crap.  Cheap stock themes that’ll not even satisfy the simplest of viewers. There are some horrible choices and the execution is lackluster. (1 out of 5)

Writing: Some of the worst dialogue ever conceived in film history.  Literally the worst writing with little to no consideration for the previous films.  So many things happen that don’t make any sense.  During intense sequences that should utilize stealth and tactics (as the group are a military unit) they don’t use any kind of strategy often splitting up for no reason.  Zarina and the leprechaun have a plan for world conquest and riches but the film fails at showing its relevancy to the story.  The whole Tina and Books relationship is poorly written. (1 out of 5)

The Verdict:  In the end, Leprechaun 4: In Space  is a terrible film, hands down.  There is nothing worth investing the time to watch.  Every aspect of this film is just wrong and there’s no coming back from this.  Definitely a Worst Film Ever Made category.  Leprechaun 4: In Space gets 1 out of 5. Don’t watch this film. Ever. Don’t even look at the cover.  This crap shouldn’t have been made.
