Welcome to another post and in this post we’re looking at the best villains to challenge the Amazonian princess.

(10) Baroness Paula von Gunther

She’s an evil scientist and ruthless Nazi spymaster.

(9) Silver Swan

First Appearance: Wonder Woman #3 – Deadly Arrival! (1987)

(8) Doctor Poison

Poison made her film debut in the 2017 Wonder Woman film, portrayed by Elena Anaya.

(7) Doctor Psycho

First Appearance: Wonder Woman #5 – Battle For Womanhood (1943)

(6) Medusa

Medusa makes this list well…because she’s freakin Medusa.  She has snakes for hair and can turn people into stone with her gaze.  That’s just awesome.  She appeared in Wonder Woman #153 in 1965.  In her mythology, she caught the eye of god Poseidon and seeking aid from the goddess Athena was then cursed to be a snake-haired monster.

(5) Veronica Cale

Cale’s a billionaire and co-founder of Cale-Anderson Pharmaceuticals plays similar to Lex Luthor does to Superman. Cale bears a grudge against the Amazon as Wonder Woman’s skills and abilities have made her a prominent hero and public icon in the people’s eyes while Cale believes she deserves it because she’s fought to accomplish so much success.

(4) Giganta

Dr. Doris Zeul aka Giganta first appeared in 1944 in Wonder Woman #9.  She has the ability to increase her size and shape.

(3) Ares

First appearing in Wonder Woman #1 in 1942, Ares constantly battles Wonder Woman as she strives to maintain peace.  He’s the son of the god Zeus and the goddess Hera, and is the god of war.

(2) Circe

The sorceress Circe is one of Wonder Woman’s longest running villains, first appearing in Wonder Woman #37 in 1949.  She has just the most awesome god-like abilities including teleportation, energy blasts, mind control, she just loves changing men into animals, and possesses the siren’s call that can lure men to the their deaths.

 (1) Cheetah

One of Wonder Woman’s main villains Cheetah first appeared in 1943 in Wonder Woman #6, as Priscilla Rich.  There have been numerous females (and even a male) to adopt the Cheetah persona, the current being Barbara Ann Minerva.
