DC Comics has dropped some great news and is adding another great movie to its already awesome animated series.  The new movie is titled Wonder Woman: Bloodlines though little information has been revealed.  Wonder Woman hasn’t had her own film since the 2009 animated Wonder Woman and the 2017 live action Wonder Woman film.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced several animated movies for 2019 including Justice League vs. Fatal Five, Reign of the Superman, and Batman: Hush movies.  There’s also, of course, the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 film that will star Gal Gadot, Kristin Wiig, and Chris Pine set at the height of the Cold War.

Initially studios were hesitant to produce another animated film starring the famous Amazon due to poor sales, despite the praise the film received. But obviously due to the success of the live action film and the anticipation of the upcoming sequel, I think it’s safe to say that Warner Bros. is breathing easier about it.  Whether this is going to be an original film or based off an existing story is in the air. Or whether it’s a direct sequel to the 2009 or an original movie is an unknown.
