Samus Aran is an ex-soldier of the Galactic Federation who became a galactic bounty hunter, usually fitted with a powered exoskeleton that is equipped with weapons such as directed-energy weapons and missiles. Throughout the series, she executes missions given to her by the Galactic Federation while hunting the antagonistic Space Pirates and their leader Ridley, along with the parasitic energy-draining organisms called Metroids.

Olivia Thirlby makes this list because she’s no stranger to science fiction and definitely held her own in the 2012 Dredd film.  Her filmography shows how diverse of an actress she can be and it would be really cool to see her take on such an iconic character.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow makes this list for the simple fact that she is just too cool for words.  She is a fantastic actress and I have faith that someone as talented as herself can easily put such an iconic character under her belt.  When she was in the Iron Man suit in Iron Man 3, tell me she doesn’t look like Samus, minus the huge pauldrons.

Katee Sackhoff

Best known for playing Lieutenant Kara “Starbuck” Thrace on Battlestar Galactica, Sackhoff is known for playing some pretty tough characters.  But I think another quality that qualifies her is the fact that she looks like Samus.

Jennifer Aniston

This is a role that Aniston would be perfect for, played as perhaps an older Samus.  Aniston is more known for dramatic and comedic roles but this would be a great opportunity for her to be in the spotlight as a great action actress.
