Young Nick Fury Photos Revealed on Set of New ‘Captain Marvel’ Film

A bunch of new set photos have surfaced from the set of Captain Marvel.  The movie will be set in the ’90s so we’ll get a chance to see a Nick Fury post superhero and how this will effect his relationship with Danvers.

Samuel L. Jackson will return as Nick Fury, Jackson himself being 69 years old.  But it’s the appearance of the character that’s most interesting.  Fury has a full head of hair and lacks the iconic eyepatch.  Fury will look 20 years younger as a combination of makeup and CG.

Fury’s not wearing the traditional black trench coat instead will be wearing a blue suit.  This will be interesting because perhaps this will show Fury working perhaps with the FBI or CIA. Hopefully we’ll see how Fury gets involved with S.H.I.E.L.D.

But there is a certain question.  Should the role have been given to a younger actor?  Now there has been a question of whether instances should be either makeup and CG or casting younger actors.  Examples of CG use include Jack Sparrow in Dead Men Tell No Tales, Kevin Flynn/Clu in Tron: Legacy as well as Grand Moff Tarkin and Princess Leia in Rogue One.  Examples of casting actors/actresses for younger roles include Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Vader, Josh Brolin as Agent K, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Jennifer Lawrence as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, Professor Charles Xavier, and Mystique, as well as Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins.

What do you guys think of these photos?
