There has been a lot of debate whether Blade should be introduced into the MCU and who is the right actor to take the job.  It has been a long time and after the disaster that is Blade: Trinity and the unfortunate Blade: The Series the Blade franchise has been in limbo for a potential sequels.

Fans have been wanting the vampire hunter to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the who should play the iconic character is up for debate.  Many fans have been wanting Wesley Snipes to return to the role and the actor himself has stated his interest.

I’ve liked John Boyega in the roles I’ve seen him in.  He seems like a really diverse actor.  His first role was in the 2011 horror comedy Attack the Block and of course, his role as Finn in 2015 The Force Awakens and the 2017 The Last Jedi.  And with the upcoming Pacific Rim: Uprising, the bar has been set high for the actor.

Boyega definitely has the skills to pull off the role.  It would be cool seeing him portray such a stoic and serious character.  I’m not big on how he looks but as long as he gets in shape for the role I’m cool with it.

Also, Boyega’s portrayal would seem like younger version of the character which could work for the series.  Perhaps have him learning his craft after being trained for years.  If Boyega can pull this role off then this would definitely add to his resume.
