25% of Marvel Studios Profits From The “Black Panther” Film Invested in Black Communities

I just watched a video where Vivica A. Fox was being interviewed about this petition and she agreed that Disney and Marvel should donate 25% of the proceeds to the black community.  As I’ve stated before on my post about the petition I disagree fully.

Why is what she says disingenuous?  Fox is entitled to her own opinion about the situation but she was incredibly disingenuous because none of the movies that she’s ever been in (a good majority of them black) has given back to the black community.  For her to say this is a hypocrisy.

TMZ is garbage and has always been garbage and for them to put this crap out is just wrong.  We, as black people, have this false sense of entitlement that says we deserve all the benefits for the hard work of others despite our capability to do it ourselves.  And seeing a highly successful Fox preach this same rhetoric is just disappointing.

The only people who should benefit any money off this movie are the numerous people who’ve donated time and effort to actually making it; the director, the cast, the staff, everyone associated with the movie.

What kind of world are we living in when people say stuff like this?
