The issue opens up with a man waking up to a destroyed laboratory.  He is attacked by a Paradise operative which he incapacitates him and frees the cuffed mutant who reveals himself to be Harold Stanch.  The man calls himself Sharp after dawning a pretty cool gas mask.  During their escape they meet two more mutants but are attacked by more Paradise operatives.  The guy with the antlers spat acid on that one guy and that was pretty brutal and the big dude straight up destroyed those other guys. They defeat the group and find another named Meijing, who uses superspeed to defend herself from her attackers as well as scope out a group of bad guys standing between the escapees and their freedom.  Sharp straight up shows himself to be a badass as he goes out and just start wasting these dudes with the help of the other mutants.  Sharp takes on this ugly, dead-looking guy named Slayback who kind of reminds me of Lady Deathstryke.  Sharp shoves a knife into the guy’s chest before the group take the helicopter and bug out before the facility explodes.  The issue ends with Sharp taking off his mask to reveal the face of Logan in the mirror.

The Verdict:  In the end, Death of Wolverine: The Weapon X Program #1 is a pretty sweet issue.  We get introduced to some pretty sweet characters with interesting abilities and the whole mystic of the facility surrounding them is a good setup.  Sharp is just straight up badass but what is his connection to Logan.  Death of Wolverine: The Weapon X Program #1 gets 3 out of 5.
