Welcome to another great top 10 list.  We’re going back to the comics and taking a look at the top 10 DC Comics characters.

1. Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is the frequent accomplice and lover of the Joker, whom she met while working as a psychologist at Gotham City’s Arkham Asylum, where the Joker was a patient.

2. Black Canary

A world class martial arts master and crime fighter.  She has the “Canary Cry”, a high-powered sonic scream which could shatter objects and incapacitate enemies.

3. Supergirl

Born Kara Zor-El, Supergirl is the biological cousin of the superhero Superman.

4. Zatanna

Zatanna is both a stage magician and an actual magician, like her father Giovanni “John” Zatara. As such she has many of her father’s powers relating to magic, typically controlled by speaking the words of her incantations spelled backwards. She is known for her involvement with the Justice League.

5. Superman

Born Kal-El on the planet Krypton, he escaped to Earth as an infant moments before Krypton’s destruction. Discovered and adopted by a Kansas farm couple, the child is raised as Clark Kent and imbued with a strong moral compass. Displaying various superhuman abilities, he resolved to use them for the benefit of humanity through his superhero alias, “Superman”.

6. Batman

Batman’s secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a wealthy playboy, philanthropist, and owner of Wayne Enterprises. After witnessing the murder of his parents Dr. Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne as a child, he swore vengeance against criminals, an oath tempered by a sense of justice. Bruce Wayne trains himself physically and intellectually and crafts a bat-inspired persona to fight crime operating in the fictional Gotham City.

7. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is a founding member of the Justice League, demigoddess, and Ambassador-at-Large of the Amazonian people. In her homeland, her official title is Princess Diana of Themyscira, Daughter of Hippolyta. When blending into the society of “Man’s World”, she adopts her civilian identity Diana Prince.

8. Flash

After being doused in chemicals and struck by lightning, Barry Allen was granted the gift of super-speed. Now he protects his hometown of Central City as The Flash, the fastest man alive and founding member of the Justice League.

9. Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy’s real name is Pamela Lillian Isley, a Gotham City botanist, who is obsessed with plants, ecological extinction, and environmentalism. She is one of the world’s most notorious eco-terrorists, she uses plant toxins and mind-controlling pheromones for her criminal activities, which are usually aimed at protecting endangered species and the natural environment.

10. Catwoman

Catwoman, whose secret identity is Selina Kyle, has been Batman’s most enduring love interest and is known for her complex love-hate relationship with him. As a Gotham City burglar, Catwoman typically wears a tight, one-piece outfit and uses a bullwhip for a weapon.
