Predator has been one of the biggest sci fi horror genres, next to Aliens, that practically built the foundation for what we as movie goers enjoy now.  The 1987 Predator had a great ensemble that included Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Shane Black, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, Elpidia Carrillo, Sonny Landham, Bill Duke, and Richard Chaves.  The 1990 Predator 2 cast includes Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Ruben Blades, Maria Conchita Alonso, Bill Paxton, Robert Davi, and Adam Baldwin.  The 2010 Predators cast includes Adrien Brody, Alice Braga, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, Louis Ozawa Changchien, and Mahershala Ali.

When we heard that the Predator franchise was coming back strong with a vengeance in 2018 we were so excited.  And to hear who has been cast has smiles on our faces.  The cast will include Olivia Munn, Boyd Hollbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, and Thomas Jane.  Munn, Jane, and Hollbrook are no strangers to action films and we’re happy to hear of Tremblay being cast due to his amazing performance in the 2015 movie Room.  He is stated to play Hollbrook’s son who is autistic and a key player in the movie.  Key has been mostly known for his comedy and with the movie having humor it is a safe bet that he will be the comedy relief.

And as a bonus, the movie will be directed by Shane Black, Hawkings in the first movie. So far not much has been revealed about the movie outside of Hollbrook’s character leading a team to take down some really nasty Yautja’s (Predators) who are playing hard ball.  Will this be the movie to bring the Predator franchise back into the light?
