Men in Black Spinoff Featuring Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth

A lot of fans have been wanting another Men in Black sequel and it looks like we have it, though not what we expected.  A Men in Black spin-off is scheduled to be released for 2019 and will feature actor Chris Hemsworth and actress Tessa Thompson as Agent H and Agent M.  The film will be directed by F. Gary Gary (Straight Outta Compton), produced by Laurie MacDonald and Walter Parkes, and written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth were in the 2017 Marvel film Thor: Ragnarok as Valkyrie and Thor.  Following the success of Thor: Ragnarok it looks like the two are teaming up again for another project.  The cast will also include Liam Neeson, Jumail Nanijiani, Emma Thompson, Rafe Spall, and Rebecca Ferguson.  Twins Laurent Nicolas and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois will also appear in the film.

So far there have been three movies and a television series.  The films consist of Men in Black (1997), Men in Black II (2002), and Men in Black 3 (2012) all featuring actors Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.  There’s also the Men in Black: The Series cartoon series that ran from 1997 to 2001.  The original film followed Smith who is recruited into the secret MIB organization by Jones, to protect Earth from intergalactic bad guys.

I’m all for another Men in Black sequel and I’m happy to hear that they’ve cast to great performers.  Thompson and Hemsworth had a lot of great chemistry in the third Thor film among a great cast including Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Anthony Hopkins, and Mark Ruffalo.
