Teagan Croft Cast as Raven in Titans’ TV Series

Teagan Croft has been cast for the role of Raven in the upcoming Titans live action series.  The series is created by Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Akiva Goldsman; the same team that’s behind the DC Universe on The CW.

Teagan Croft doesn’t have a lot of performances under her belt.  She’s most known for her role as Bella Loneragan in the 2016 Home and Away and Indi Sommerville in the 2016 Science Fiction Volume One: The Osiris Child.

Raven is the daughter of a demon father named Trigon and human mother named Arella, and a prominent member of the Teen Titans.  Raven was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez.

In the photos, Raven is pale with blue hair. Her attire consist of a black top and a blue jacket.  Some of the criticisms surrounding Raven’s design are kind of understandable.

I’m not familiar with Croft’s work, but I’m hopeful that the casting decision will be rewarding experience.

Raven is a Gothic themed character but the translation into live action could be a bit better.  Raven’s hair doesn’t need to be blue, it could be just as good black or brunette. However, it isn’t a deal breaker.

I’m also interested in seeing how her powers will be presented.  Her dark magical abilities are quite powerful and I’m wondering will it be concentrated or more powerful.  The best interpretation I could probably think of is Scarlet Witch’s abilities in the MCU.  Will we get a chance to see her giant magical Raven?  And given her abilities, will Trigon make an appearance?
