When informed his brother has been killed by a Saiyan, Cooler is hell bent on killing Goku, and making him pay for his brother’s disgrace. The film focuses on the efforts of an evil magician, Hoi, to release the deadly monster Hirudegarn onto the Earth, forcing Goku and his friends to enlist the aid of a warrior named Tapion, who may be the only one capable of defeating the monster.

The plot involves Beerus, the God of Destruction, who seeks an opponent worthy of his power and upon learning of the defeat of the galactic overlord Freiza at the hands of Goku, travels to Earth to challenge him.
