The Dark Knight Trilogy is a superhero film trilogy based on the DC Comics character Batman.  The trilogy consists of Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), all of which were directed by Christopher Nolan.  The series follows Batman (Christian Bale) who, while dealing with his own personal demons, attempts to save Gotham City from various criminals, mobsters, and terrorist.  The Dark Knight Trilogy has been hailed as one of the best, if not the best, superhero trilogies of all time and of course, this sparks a poll on this website.
